Creation Nation was founded in 1998 with the mission of bringing the arts to the community and community to the arts, with a healthy dose of sustainability and activism in all of our work. We have sponsored tours of art collections, facilitated drum circles and creativity clusters, produced musical events and facilitated community interaction through the building of art projects utilizing found objects and recycled materials.

Creation Nation is also a record label. Our first effort, Matt Butler’s The Redwood Project is a benefit for Environmental Protection Information Center in their efforts to protect the eco-systems of Northern California. It is the recipient of several awards including Best Cover Design from New Age Voice Magazine. We also produced Matt’s second release, Good Options, which is receiving generous airplay around the Northwest. Both CDs are packaged in ‘eco-paks,’ using no plastic jewel cases. Our intention is to add more artists to the roster as the business grows.

Creation Nation is the home of The Everyone Orchestra, a revolving cast of stellar musicians who come together to showcase their craft, improvise and raise funds for forest organizations. Everyone Orchestra events combine interactive music, activism and on site art projects and sustainability.
