ACTIVISM
Living simply and by example is one of the most important
ways to be an activist. Try a few of these ideas:
- Prepare your own meals. Knowing what we eat is like knowing
where our life comes from.
- Carry a cup, bowl and chopsticks with you. If you can’t
prepare your own meals, at least you can avoid plastic and
styrofoam.
- Bring your own bag to the grocery store. Let other people
see you doing this – it feels good.
- Write letters. A letter is a gift, the physical artifact
of an hour spent with a friend in mind.
- Love your work. The money may follow. The money may not.
Either way, this will simplify your life.
- Travel by foot. You might meet some interesting people
who are also your neighbors.
