ACTIVISM

The Everyone Orchestra is committed to supporting non-profit organizations in the communities where we perform through awareness and fund-raising. Our events are produced as sustainably as is feasible and you'll always find a diverse mix of musical and activist communities represented. Some of the organizations we have worked with include:

Conscious Alliance
www.consciousalliance.org

Conscious Alliance organizes food drives nationally at concerts, music festivals, and sporting events to benefit local food pantries and impoverished Indian Reservations across the United States.  EO is collaborating with Conscious Alliance for its’ Fall 2006 Northeast tour, where concert goers can exchange 10 items of non-perishable food for a tour poster by Robert Marx.

Rock the Earth
www.rocktheearth.org

Rock the Earth works closely with the music industry and its fans bringing about positive and beneficial environmental consequences on behalf of members of the music industry through the means of active litigation and negotiation. EO founder/conductor Matt Butler is a member of the Rock the Earth advisory board.

The Buckeye Forest Council
www.buckeyeforestcouncil.org

" Thank you once again for promoting and raising money for Buckeye Forest Council's work. We are putting the money to our Dysart Woods and Wayne National Forest Campaigns. Much of it will go to legal fees needed to fight a proposed underground coal mining project, which could destroy Dysart Woods, one of Ohio's last old-growth forests. Money will also go to our efforts to stop two timber sales on the Wayne National Forest. These timber sales were actually stopped eight years ago and now the Forest Service is attempting push them through again. These timber sales are also significant because there has been no logging on the Wayne since they were stopped." -- Susan Heitker, Buckeye Forest Council

The Sierra Club
www.sierraclub.org

The Everyone Orchestra was pleased to collaborate with the New Orleans chapter of the Sierra Club in support of their programs, meetings and outings.

Make a Wish Foundation
www.makeawishfoundation.org

Make a Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.

The Pangaea Project

www.pangaeaproject.org

By engaging teenagers from underserved neighborhoods in local and international service-learning projects, The Pangaea Project promotes the development of leadership skills, increases global awareness, and fosters a commitment to work towards social change, profoundly transforming both the participants and their communities.

"The Everyone Orchestra produced two benefits for the Pangaea Project in early May that were absolutely wonderful and divine. The Pangaea Project is a Portland-based leadership development program engaging youth from low-income families in creating solutions to social and environmental issues that confront their communities through local and international service-projects that share a common theme. I feel so blessed that I was able to offer my humble creativity with such phenomenally talented artists and help a good cause all at the same time. I was blown away by the talent, humor, love, and brilliantly orchestrated improvisation coming together in what truly can be described as magic."
